I swapped out my exhaust servo with a heal tech tonight. I couldn't find my peg, but I think you'll like what I used! I'll post the video asap. It's not as thorough of a video as I normally do, because I had a few other projects going on too.
Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!
Is this the same process for a 2017 model. As I’m unsure of how to lift the fuel tank. Can anybody advise.
It's not the same for the 2017/18 model It's significantly longer to remove the plastics
Basically you have 4 black plastic push tabs on the front/top that you need to remove. Simply push the middle in, then remove the entire tab.
Next, on both sides you'll need to remove the lower plastic section where the Suzuki "S" badge is. There's 3 tabs holding it in. Be careful not to break the plastic, but I basically pull the plastic while pushing the white tabs behind it with my finger.
Once both sides are off, you'll see a bolt holding the next plastic on each side of the bike, remove them. Next the 2 side plastics come off by pulling them forward. There's 2 slip on things located on the radiator that hold the plastic. You just need to pull it forward then unclip the top. You'll understand when your start pulling it front...
Next you'll reveal 2 more bolts. Remove them, this will loosen the last top plastic. The top plastic has some velcro that hold it to the painted part of the tank, around the gas door. Pull it gently upward until it comes off.
Lastly you have a small plastic around the key, just pull it towards the gas door.
The rest is the same as the 2016 model, unscrew the fuel tank, prop it up (I used a tube of caulking silicone, was the perfect height to hold the tank), then remove the air box screws, etc...
Hope that helps I might be able to get you pictures tonight if you need
The description was spot on. Fingers crossed I can get it all back together in the morning. Thanks for the help.
I find putting it back slightly easier 😉
I forgot to mention, for anyone else, to remove the seat there's a plastic with a bolt and 3 snap clips on each side of the bike. Just need to pull it towards yourself, pretty hard, and the snaps will undo one by one... Then just remove the bolt holding the seat down.
